M27500-18SD2T23 is a 2-core 18 AWG twisted shielded cable manufactured to MIL-DTL-27500. The conductors are M22759/34 cross-linked ETFE (Tefzel-type) with shield and drain wire and an extruded cross-linked ETFE outer jacket. The SD construction uses a foil shield with drain wire.
18 AWG is the highest-current and lowest-resistance gauge in the M27500 range stocked by XTRA Motorsport. It is the correct choice when sensor current draw, cable length, or resistance budget rules out the lighter 22 and 24 AWG variants.

Typical Use — ABS Wheel Speed and High-Current Sensor Wiring
ABS wheel speed sensors typically draw more current than crank/cam triggers and are mounted in the wheel well, requiring long cable runs back to the ABS module. The lower resistance of 18 AWG conductors minimises voltage drop over these runs.
| Conductor | Function | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| White | Signal + or Supply | Supply voltage or differential signal positive |
| White / Orange | Signal − or Return | Signal ground or differential negative |
| Shield drain | EMI shield | Ground at module/ECU end only — leave wheel end floating |
Use this cable when the 22 AWG variant would result in excessive resistance for the cable length required, or when the sensor datasheet specifies a minimum conductor cross-section larger than 22 AWG can provide.
