AiM PDM
AiM PDM Power Distribution Modules: PDM08 & PDM32
An AiM PDM (Power Distribution Module) replaces the fuses, relays, and circuit breakers in a race car’s wiring loom with one solid-state unit. Each output is individually programmable for current limit, PWM soft-start, and automatic fault retry, with real-time diagnostics per channel instead of a blown fuse and no fault code. AiM builds two models: the PDM08, 8 outputs and 100 A total for smaller builds, and the PDM32, 28 high-side plus 4 half-bridge outputs and 120 A total for a full race car power architecture. XTRA Motorsport is an official AiM Sports dealer and supplies both models.

AiM PDM08: 8-Output Power Distribution Module
The PDM08 is designed for smaller builds or vehicles with modest electrical demands. It provides 8 programmable high-side power outputs with full short-circuit protection and diagnostic feedback.
PDM08 specifications:
– 8 high-side power outputs
– 1× output up to 20A (with flyback diode)
– 1× output up to 25A
– 6× outputs up to 15A each
– Total continuous maximum current: 100A
– Built-in data logger with GPS09c module support
– CAN bus communication
– AiM display controller (controls a 5″, 6″, or 10″ display)
AiM PDM32: 32-Output Power Distribution Module
The PDM32 is the AiM PDM for full racing car applications: 28 high-side outputs plus four half-bridge outputs for motor and solenoid control, covering every power circuit in a modern race car in a single unit.
PDM32 specifications:
– 28 high-side power outputs + 4 half-bridge outputs
– 4× high-power outputs up to 20A
– 12× mid-power outputs up to 15A
– 12× low-power outputs up to 10A
– 4× half-bridge outputs up to 35A (PWM configurable)
– Total continuous maximum current: 120A
– Built-in data logger with GPS09c module support
– CAN bus communication
– AiM display controller (controls a 5″, 6″, or 10″ display)
Why Use an AiM PDM?
A PDM eliminates the fuses and relays from the loom, cutting wiring complexity and weight. Current monitoring is per channel, so a fault shows up as a diagnostic instead of a dead circuit. Output behaviour, current limits, and switching logic are all configurable in Race Studio 3, and power data logs alongside engine and chassis channels from the same unit. One PDM replaces a full fuse and relay panel.
