The AiM PDM32 replaces traditional fuse boxes and relay panels with a single solid-state unit that simultaneously adds data logging, GPS lap timing, and dash display control. Thirty-two individually programmable outputs cover every circuit in a race car: ignition, fuel pump, cooling fans, water pump, dash, lights, starter, and more — each with configurable current limits, PWM soft-start, automatic fault retry, and per-output status LEDs visible at a glance.
Four half-bridge outputs at 35 A extend the PDM32 to bidirectional motor control — wiper motors, DRS actuators, motorised antennae, and valve actuators — without a separate H-bridge controller. All outputs are protected for over-voltage, under-voltage, over-current, and over-temperature, with per-output open-circuit and short-circuit detection. Inrush current limit, retry count, and retry interval are all configurable per channel.
The built-in 4 GB data logger records all PDM inputs and outputs alongside ECU data from CAN or RS232. The PDM32 drives a 5″, 6″, or 10″ AiM dash display via CAN as the primary controller, removing the need for a separate data logger or dash unit. GPS09c adds automatic lap timing and track position from 4,000+ circuits.

FAQ
Can the PDM32 replace my entire fuse and relay panel?
Yes. Each output provides electronic over-current protection equivalent to a fuse, with automatic retry logic instead of a physical fuse to replace. Standard relay functions — inrush current limiting, PWM duty cycle, soft-start and stop — are configurable per output in Race Studio 3. For builds where the complete wiring loom is being built from scratch, the PDM32 is the starting point for the entire power architecture.
What are the half-bridge outputs and what can they control?
The four 35 A half-bridge outputs supply current in both directions through the connected load. This enables bidirectional motor control: wiper motors, DRS actuators, electrically-adjustable dampers, and any load that requires reverse polarity. Standard high-side outputs only switch a load on or off; half-bridge outputs can reverse direction on command via CAN or Race Studio 3 logic.
Does the PDM32 log data and do I still need a separate data logger?
No separate logger is needed. The PDM32 includes a 4 GB internal data logger that records all inputs, output states, and ECU channels via CAN/RS232. It also acts as the primary controller for an AiM dash display (5″, 6″, or 10″). For teams wanting one unit to handle power distribution, data logging, and dash control, the PDM32 is a complete solution.
Is the GPS09c module included, or is it a separate purchase?
The GPS09c is included in the display kit SKUs (e.g. XC1PDM32D05G200C2) and available as a separate accessory for the base XC1PDM3201 unit. It connects via CAN and adds 25 Hz 4-constellation GPS positioning and automatic lap timing from 4,000+ circuits.
