The Bosch Motorsport DDU11 is the current mid-range display unit in the DDU family, positioned above the DDU 9 and below the DDU10. It addresses the two main shortcomings of the DDU 9: IP54 sealing and 640×480 resolution — upgrading to IP67 and 800×480 in a physically similar chassis weight (649 g vs 540 g for the DDU 9, vs 875 g for the DDU10).
The 6.5″ screen provides a 14% larger viewing area than the DDU 9’s 5.7″, with the 800×480 resolution matching the DDU10. Forty-eight configurable display pages — organised as four sets of 12 pages each — allow four independent display configurations to coexist in the same unit and be switched on-event. This is useful for teams that want separate page sets for qualifying, race, formation lap, and safety car modes, each with its own layout and alert thresholds.
The LED arrangement on the DDU11 differs from the DDU 9: eight LEDs across the top of the display and five on each side provide a wider shift light span and additional indicator positions compared to the DDU 9’s 10-LED linear row. LEDs are individually configurable for colour, blink rate, and activation condition.
An optional GPS sensor integrates directly with the DDU11 for lap trigger, track position logging, and speed — without an RS232 GPS receiver. This is a factory-fitted option at order time. Without the GPS option, the DDU11 accepts a standard RS232 GPS receiver for the same functions.
The TE Connectivity 3-1437290-7 connector provides harness connection. Logging, configuration, and data analysis use the same RaceCon and WinDarab V7 toolchain as the rest of the Bosch Motorsport range.

What You Can Do With It
- Display all driver data on a 6.5″ IP67-sealed screen in direct sunlight without glare
- Switch between four independent page sets — qualifying, race, wet, formation lap — on-event
- Configure 13 LEDs (8 top + 5 side) for shift lights, pit warnings, and driver alerts with individual thresholds
- Log up to 1,500 channels at 1,000 Hz with the FULL_LOG_1 upgrade — no hardware changes
- Add GPS lap timing and track position without an external RS232 receiver (optional GPS module)
- Connect lap trigger directly to the configurable digital input — no separate trigger device in the harness
- Mount in wet environments and engine-bay locations requiring IP67 water ingress protection
- Configure all display pages and logging in RaceCon; analyse data in WinDarab V7

FAQ
What is the main difference between the DDU11 and the DDU 9?
The DDU11 upgrades the DDU 9 in three key areas: screen size (6.5″ vs 5.7″), resolution (800×480 vs 640×480), and IP rating (IP67 vs IP54). It also adds 48 configurable display pages vs 12 on the DDU 9, an optional GPS module, and a revised 13-LED arrangement. At 649 g vs 540 g, the weight penalty is modest for the improvements gained.
When should I choose the DDU11 over the DDU10?
Choose the DDU11 when you need IP67 sealing and 800×480 resolution but do not require the DDU10’s larger 7″ screen, Autosport motorsport connectors, or 4 CAN channels. The DDU11 is 226 g lighter and typically used in installations where the DDU10’s OEM GT3 specification is not mandated. The DDU10 suits factory team GT3 programmes; the DDU11 suits customer team, GT4, and club racing builds.
Does the DDU11 GPS option need a separate receiver?
The factory-fitted GPS option integrates a GPS receiver module inside the DDU11 housing — no external receiver or RS232 wiring is required. If the GPS option is not ordered at purchase, a compatible RS232 GPS receiver can be added externally and wired to the DDU11’s configurable digital input.
How many display pages does the DDU11 support?
48 pages, organised as four page sets of 12 pages each. Each page set can be configured independently — for example, Set 1 for qualifying, Set 2 for race, Set 3 for wet conditions, Set 4 for pit lane. Page sets are switched by event trigger (button, speed threshold, RPM, CAN variable) or manually via a configured input.
What is the logging performance of the DDU11?
Standard logging is 100 channels at 20 Hz (50 ms) using 4 GB internal storage. The FULL_LOG_1 software key unlocks 1,500 channels at 1,000 Hz. An additional 4 GB second partition is available as a further software upgrade for back-to-back session recording.
