The Bosch Motorsport DDU10 is the GT3 reference display unit — specified by manufacturers as OEM equipment in their homologated GT3 and GT4 cars and used by factory teams across BMW, McLaren, Honda, Aston Martin, Audi, and Toyota programmes. It combines a 7″ full-colour TFT display with an IP67-sealed chassis, Autosport motorsport connectors, and an integrated data logger, providing professional display and data acquisition in a single unit designed for the highest-tier circuit racing.

The 7″ 800×480 pixel display is significantly larger than the DDU 9’s 5.7″ 640×480 screen, improving readability of fine channel data and multi-segment gauge layouts at a glance in high-vibration environments. IP67 sealing and Autosport AS216/AS616 connectors place the DDU10 at the same mechanical specification as the MS 7.4 ECU — fully sealed and with high-reliability military-spec circular connectors that can be disconnected under load in the wet without damage.

Three 100BaseT Ethernet ports provide high-bandwidth connection to Bosch ECUs, additional Bosch Motorsport devices, and the pit wall telemetry system simultaneously without sharing bandwidth. Two standard CAN channels plus two optional CAN channels accommodate complex multi-device CAN architectures. The configurable input system supports a lap trigger input directly, eliminating the need for a separate lap trigger device in the harness.

Internal logging is 3 GB standard (100 channels at 50 ms), upgrading to 1,500 channels at 1 ms (1,000 Hz) with the FULL_LOG_1 key. An additional 4 GB logging partition and USB data copy are available as further software upgrades. Data analysis uses WinDarab V7.

What You Can Do With It

  • Display all driver data on a 7″ screen with the same layout quality as OEM factory GT3 cars
  • Use Autosport AS216/AS616 motorsport connectors — the same connector standard as the MS 7.4 ECU
  • Log up to 3 GB at standard rate; expand to 1,500 channels at 1,000 Hz with FULL_LOG_1
  • Connect four CAN devices simultaneously (2 standard + 2 optional CAN) for complex network architectures
  • Distribute data to three independent Ethernet devices — ECU, telemetry, and an additional logger simultaneously
  • Trigger GPS lap times and page changes directly from the configurable digital input
  • Maintain full display and logging function after full water immersion — IP67 sealed
  • Analyse all data in WinDarab V7 on the same platform as Bosch Motorsport ECU data

FAQ

Why is the DDU10 specified as OEM in factory GT3 cars?

Factory GT3 programmes require displays that meet the same mechanical standard as the rest of the electronics package — IP67 sealing, Autosport motorsport connectors, and reliable operation across extreme temperature ranges. The DDU10’s 7″ screen size, three Ethernet ports for simultaneous ECU and telemetry connection, and integration in the Bosch Motorsport software ecosystem (same RaceCon and WinDarab V7 toolchain) make it the natural choice for manufacturers already running Bosch ECUs and data systems.

What connector does the DDU10 use?

The DDU10 uses Autosport AS216-35PN (main connector) and AS212-35PN (auxiliary connector) — the same motorsport circular connector standard as the Bosch Motorsport MS 7.4 ECU. Mating sockets are AS616-35SN. Contact XTRA Motorsport for connector and harness termination components.

How does the DDU10 logging compare to the C70 and C80?

At standard configuration the DDU10 records 100 channels at 50 ms (20 Hz) from 3 GB storage — slightly less than the C70’s 4 GB. With FULL_LOG_1, it upgrades to 1,500 channels at 1,000 Hz. For applications requiring more than 16 dedicated analog inputs or specialised logging features, a dedicated C80 alongside the DDU10 is the standard GT3 data architecture.

Can the DDU10 receive data from a non-Bosch ECU?

Yes. The DDU10 receives CAN data from any ECU via its CAN channels. Configure channel mappings in RaceCon using a standard CAN DBC database from the ECU manufacturer. All CAN-capable ECUs (Emtron, Link, ECUmaster, MoTeC, Cosworth, etc.) can feed the DDU10.

Is the DDU10 compatible with the same RaceCon software as Bosch ECUs?

Yes. The DDU10 is configured in RaceCon and its data is analysed in WinDarab V7 — the same toolchain as the Bosch Motorsport MS 6 EVO, MS 7.4, and MS 7.8 ECUs. The MSA-Box II is required for USB configuration connection.
