M27500-22SB2T23 is a 2-core 22 AWG twisted shielded cable manufactured to MIL-DTL-27500. The conductors are M22759/32 cross-linked ETFE (Tefzel-type), tin-plated copper, enclosed in a tinned copper single braid shield with drain wire and an extruded cross-linked ETFE outer jacket.
22 AWG is the most commonly used gauge for motorsport sensor wiring — heavy enough for reliable termination with standard crimp contacts, light enough for neat harness construction.

Typical Use — VR Trigger and Knock Sensor Wiring
Variable reluctance (VR) crank and cam trigger sensors output a differential signal — signal+ and signal−. Both conductors carry the sensor output; the shield drain grounds at the ECU end to reject ignition and power-system interference.
| Conductor | Function | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| White | Signal + | Differential positive output from VR sensor |
| White / Orange | Signal − | Differential negative output |
| Shield drain | EMI shield | Ground at ECU end only — leave sensor end floating |
Knock sensors use the same 2-wire configuration. Route the cable away from ignition coil and injector wiring wherever possible; the braid shield handles incidental EMI from shared conduit.
