Raychem HFT5000 6/3 mm is a heat-shrinkable woven fabric tubing from TE Connectivity designed for abrasion protection on small harness branches. The 6/3 mm size slides over bundles up to 6 mm OD before recovery and grips down to a 3 mm minimum ID afterwards — suited for sensor pigtails, individual sub-looms, and harness branches passing through metalwork brackets or grommets.
The weave combines polyethylene (PE) for shrink force and polyester (PET) for abrasion resistance. Recovery temperature is low (80°C minimum), so it can be applied over finished Tefzel wiring without risk to the wire insulation underneath.
HFT5000 is not a sealing product. The woven construction is porous — it does not seal against fluids. For wet-bay routing, use Raychem DR-25 as the primary sealed jacket underneath and HFT5000 over the top for abrasion protection.

Application
Recover at 80°C minimum; 140–190°C recommended for complete recovery. Move the heat gun continuously to prevent overheating the wiring underneath.
HFT5000 shrinks approximately 10% in length during recovery. Pre-cut lengths longer than the finished dimension before ordering.
Per metre: Each metre is one continuous cut length, hand-wound loose — not separate pieces. 5 m ordered = one 5 m length.
