AiM PDM

AiM Power Distribution Modules — PDM08 & PDM32

The AiM PDM (Power Distribution Module) replaces the conventional combination of fuses, relays, and circuit breakers in a race car with a single intelligent solid-state unit. Programmable outputs, real-time diagnostics, integrated data logging, GPS module, and display control — all in one device.

XTRA Motorsport is an official AiM Sports dealer in Europe, stocking both PDM models for fast EU delivery.

AiM PDM08 — 8-Output Power Distribution Module

The PDM08 is designed for smaller builds or vehicles with modest electrical demands. It provides 8 programmable high-side power outputs with full short-circuit protection and diagnostic feedback.

PDM08 specifications:
– 8 high-side power outputs
– 1× output up to 20A (with flyback diodes)
– 1× output up to 25A
– 6× outputs up to 15A each
– Total continuous maximum current: 100A
– Integrated data logger and GPS module
– CAN bus communication
– AiM display controller (controls a 6″ or 10″ display)
– 9-axis IMU platform

AiM PDM32 — 32-Output Power Distribution Module

The PDM32 is the flagship AiM PDM for full racing car applications. 28 high-side outputs plus four half-bridge outputs for motor and solenoid control, covering every power circuit in a modern race car in a single unit.

PDM32 specifications:
– 28 high-side power outputs + 4 half-bridge outputs
– 4× high-power outputs up to 20A
– 12× mid-power outputs up to 15A
– 12× low-power outputs up to 10A
– 4× half-bridge outputs up to 35A (PWM configurable)
– Total continuous maximum current: 120A
– Integrated data logger and GPS module
– CAN bus communication
– AiM display controller (controls a 6″ or 10″ display)
– 9-axis IMU platform

Why Use an AiM PDM?

  • Eliminates fuses and relays — reduces wiring complexity and weight significantly
  • Real-time diagnostics — current monitoring per channel, instant fault detection
  • Fully programmable — output behaviour, current limits, and switching logic all configurable via Race Studio 3
  • Integrated logging — power data logged alongside engine and chassis channels
  • Compact — one unit replaces a full fuse/relay panel
