Bosch Motorsport Software — WinDarab, RaceCon, and PBX Suite

Bosch Motorsport develops a complete software ecosystem for ECU calibration, data analysis, and power distribution management. XTRA Motorsport supplies paid WinDarab licences and software upgrades for the full Bosch Motorsport hardware range. RaceCon ECU calibration software and PBX Suite power management software are available as free downloads directly from Bosch Motorsport.

WinDarab V7 — Data Analysis Platform

WinDarab V7 is the primary data analysis platform for the Bosch Motorsport data logger, ECU, and DDU display range. It reads data directly from the C70, C80, DDU displays, and ECU-integrated log files. The platform provides real-time telemetry viewing, lap comparison, histogram analysis, FFT analysis, and user-defined mathematical channel creation.

WinDarab is available in two versions:

WinDarab Expert is supplied as a perpetual licence key. An active annual maintenance licence is required for software version updates; the installed version remains fully functional after maintenance expiry.

WinDarab Annual Maintenance

The WinDarab V7 Annual Maintenance licence keeps an existing WinDarab Expert installation current with software updates for twelve months from the renewal date. Required for access to new WinDarab releases; the installed version continues to function after expiry but will not accept further updates.

COM-API for WinDarab Expert — Yearly Licence

The COM-API yearly licence provides programmatic access to a running WinDarab Expert session via a Windows COM interface. Engineers can build plugins with custom buttons and menus on the WinDarab ribbon, or write external scripts that control WinDarab sessions, read channel data, and generate custom measurement files in WinDarab V7 file format. Requires WinDarab Expert with an active maintenance licence. Renews annually.

RaceCon — ECU and PowerBox Calibration (Free)

RaceCon is the Bosch Motorsport system calibration environment for the MS 6, MS 7, MS 25, and MS 50 ECU range, and for the PBX90 and PBX 190 PowerBox. It handles ECU base maps, closed-loop lambda, traction control, ABS configuration, and PBX circuit programming within a single application. RaceCon is available at no charge directly from Bosch Motorsport and is not sold separately. Contact XTRA Motorsport for the current download link and setup support.

PBX Suite — PowerBox Configuration (Free, within RaceCon)

PBX Suite runs within RaceCon and configures circuit definitions, current limits, switching logic, PWM outputs, and fault responses for both PowerBox models. Available at no charge as part of the RaceCon installation.

Is Bosch Motorsport RaceCon sold separately?

No. RaceCon is a free download from Bosch Motorsport and is not a purchasable product. It covers ECU calibration for the MS 6, MS 7, MS 25, and MS 50 range, and PowerBox configuration for the PBX90 and PBX 190. Contact XTRA Motorsport for the current download link and installation guidance.

What is the difference between WinDarab Free and WinDarab Expert?

WinDarab Free provides basic channel display, lap comparison, and report export with no licence requirement. WinDarab Expert adds user-defined mathematical channels, advanced condition filters, FFT and histogram analysis, distance-based data overlay, and access to the COM-API for scripted automation. Expert requires a licence key and an active annual maintenance subscription for version updates.

Does the WinDarab Expert licence expire?

The base WinDarab Expert licence is perpetual — it does not expire and the installed version remains fully functional after the maintenance period lapses. Without an active annual maintenance licence, the installation will not accept new software version updates but continues to operate normally on the currently installed version.

What does the COM-API yearly licence include?

The COM-API licence gives external applications and custom scripts programmatic access to a running WinDarab Expert session via a Windows COM interface. It covers controlling cursor and view range, reading channel data, and creating new measurement files in WinDarab V7 format, as well as building custom plugins on the WinDarab ribbon.
