Raychem RT-375 Heat Shrink
Raychem RT-375 — Clear Fluoropolymer Heat Shrink
Raychem RT-375 is a thin-wall clear heat shrink tubing manufactured from a modified fluoropolymer. The transparent wall allows visual inspection of the wire, connector, or component inside after recovery — a property that sets it apart from standard black polyolefin heat shrink. The wall is approximately 40% thinner than general-purpose polyolefin, giving RT-375 excellent flexibility without sacrificing chemical resistance or temperature performance.
Shrink ratio is 2:1. Operating temperature range is −55 °C to +150 °C with flame resistance. Sold per metre.

FAQ
What is RT-375 used for in motorsport harness building?
RT-375 is used to protect wire identification labels — the small text labels that identify individual circuits by function (“Inj 1”, “Inj 2”, “ECT”, “OilP”, “TPS+”, etc.). Write or print the label on a polyester sleeve or label tape, slide it onto the wire at the appropriate position, then apply RT-375 over it. The heat recovery locks the label in place; the transparent wall keeps the text readable for the life of the harness.
Is RT-375 the same as standard clear polyolefin heat shrink?
No. RT-375 is manufactured from a modified fluoropolymer, not standard polyolefin. This gives it significantly better chemical resistance, higher operating temperature (150 °C vs typically 105 °C for polyolefin), and better optical clarity stability over time. Standard clear polyolefin tends to yellow and become opaque after heat ageing; RT-375 maintains clarity.
Does RT-375 have an adhesive inner liner?
No. RT-375 is a single-wall tubing with no adhesive. It provides physical protection and wire identification but does not seal against moisture at the tube ends. For moisture-sealed splices or connections, use Raychem SCL (dual-wall adhesive) instead.
