The RX7Link S6 (RX7S6X) is Link Engine Management’s G4X plug-in ECU for the Mazda FD3S RX7 Series 6 with the 13BT twin-rotor engine. The PCB fits inside the factory ECU enclosure with no loom modification. Full electronic boost control replaces the factory boost management system.
Critical limitation — sequential turbo: The RX7Link S6 does not support factory sequential turbo control. The ECU cannot sequence the primary and secondary turbochargers in the factory manner. For this ECU to function correctly, the sequential turbo system must be bypassed — the car must be converted to parallel twin-turbo operation or a single-turbo configuration. This is the standard approach for performance-tuned FD3S builds.
No onboard MAP sensor is fitted. The factory FD3S MAP sensor (rated to approximately 220 kPa) is used via the expansion connector, or an upgraded external MAP sensor can be wired to An Volt 3. For high-boost builds an upgraded sensor is required.
The Series 6 uses the early FD3S yellow/multi-lock connector ECU header. Verify your connector matches the product photo before ordering — it differs from the Series 7/8 white connector.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the RX7Link S6 support sequential turbo operation?
No. Sequential turbo control is not supported. The factory sequential turbo system must be bypassed — the car is run as parallel twin-turbo or single-turbo. This is standard practice on tuned FD3S builds and does not limit power or tunability; it simplifies the boost control strategy.
What is the difference between the S6 and S7/8 RX7Link?
The Series 6 (RX7S6X) and Series 7/8 (RX7S7X) FD3S ECUs use different physical connectors — the early yellow header (Series 6) and the late white header (Series 7/8). Both lose sequential turbo control; neither has an onboard MAP sensor. Check your car’s production date and connector photo to confirm which version you need.
