The MoTeC ADR2 is an FIA-homologated Accident Data Recorder. It continuously monitors vehicle accelerations and permanently records the data around a crash event, quantifying impact forces to assist medical and rescue crews and to support the FIA’s accident research. An ADR drawn from the FIA ADR Program is mandatory in FIA-required series.
The ADR2 conforms to FIA Standard 8872-2018 and is listed on the FIA ADR Program. It records 3-axis acceleration with a 15-second pre-event buffer and includes internal backup power so recording continues even if vehicle power is lost in the impact.
A GPS source (logging date, time and position into the event) is required for full data — pair it with the MoTeC 10 Hz GPS.
