The Bosch Motorsport Mini HA-P sealed Hall-effect sensor detects incremental speed by modulating the magnetic field at the Hall probe as each tooth of a ferromagnetic target wheel passes in front of the sensor face. An integrated signal conditioning circuit converts the raw Hall signal to a clean digital output, eliminating the noise and zero-speed output uncertainty associated with passive (variable reluctance) speed sensors.
The sensor’s 16 mm bore diameter and compact body make it suitable for installation in tight spaces on standard motorsport target wheel holders — crankshaft trigger wheels, camshaft phaser wheels, wheel speed bolt-on assemblies, and gearbox shaft assemblies. The 0.2–1.5 mm air gap tolerance accommodates normal machining variation and thermal expansion without requiring precise gap-setting at installation.
Rated for 1,200 m/s² vibration across 10 Hz to 2 kHz, it withstands engine-bay mounting at high-vibration locations. The maximum 10 kHz frequency covers tooth counts and engine speeds encountered in race applications up to 60-tooth wheels at approximately 10,000 rpm.
Supplied sealed with open-end wire (without connector). The wire ends are spliced or terminated to the harness connector of the customer’s choice.
