The Bosch Motorsport NTC M12-H extends the NTC M12 temperature range from 130 °C to 150 °C, making it the preferred choice for circuits where fluid temperature can exceed the standard sensor’s upper limit — high-output coolant systems, turbocharged oil circuits, and gearbox oil at sustained load. The “H” designation indicates the high-temperature rated variant.
Like the NTC M12, it uses an NTC thermistor element: sensor resistance decreases as temperature rises, and the signal voltage at the ECU or logger input varies accordingly with a pull-up resistor in circuit. The M12×1.5 thread and compact 2-pin connector fit the same ports as the standard NTC M12, so substitution is direct.
For intake air temperature applications, use the Airbox temperature sensor (0280130039), which is rated for air rather than liquid contact.
