The DI Driver-4 provides the high-voltage peak-and-hold drive current required to operate GDI (direct injection) solenoid injectors and high-pressure fuel pumps. The G5 ECU generates the injection control signals; the DI Driver-4 delivers the electrical power. One DI Driver-4 module controls 4 direct injectors and 1 HPFP. Multiple modules chain via CAN bus.
With a G5 Voodoo Pro, up to 3 DI Driver-4 units can be chained for 12 GDI injectors and 2 independent HPFPs. The G5 Neo 4 supports 1 DI Driver-4 (4-cylinder GDI); the G5 Neo 6 supports 1 or 2 units (6-cylinder GDI). Staged port + direct injection on a single calibration is supported.
Configuration is done via the free DI Link software over USB-C. CAN bus termination is software-configurable.
