The G5 Voodoo Neo 6 is the mid-range model in Link Engine Management’s G5 wire-in range, designed for six-cylinder and eight-cylinder builds. With 12 injection drives and 8 ignition drivers it supports full sequential port injection on engines up to 8 cylinders, and with the optional LinkECU DI Driver-4 it unlocks staged sequential direct injection on 6-cylinder engines including dual high-pressure fuel pump control. The Neo 6 runs on the G5 platform with the same PCLink software as the G4X range — G4X calibration files load directly. Like the Neo 4, it includes built-in WiFi, onboard GPS, Ethernet, and a single integrated Bosch LSU 4.9 wideband lambda controller as standard. Data logging is 1 GB — double the G5 Voodoo Pro’s 512 MB.

The Neo 6 + DI Driver-4 bundle is available as SKU 156-9000B. A two-unit DI Driver bundle is also available for high-injector-count staged injection applications.

Pin Architecture — Inj/DI Sharing

The Neo 6 has two categories of multipurpose pins:

Inj/DI shared pins (×4): Each pin can be used as an injection drive, Auxiliary output, or Digital Input — configured per function in PCLink. These pins can read PWM/frequency. The 12-injection count and 10-DI count both include these 4 shared pins; plan function assignment before building the loom.

ADIO pins (×6): Configurable as Auxiliary output, Analogue voltage input, or Digital input. Cannot read PWM/frequency. Pull-up options: 1 kΩ, 10 kΩ, or no pull-up.

What is the difference between the Neo 4 and Neo 6?

The Neo 6 has more injection and ignition drives (12 inj / 8 ign vs 8 inj / 6 ign), supports dual high-pressure fuel pump control, and can run 6-cylinder staged GDI with the DI Driver-4. It is the correct choice for 6-cylinder builds, 8-cylinder port injection, or any application needing more than 6 ignition channels. The Neo 4 has more auxiliary outputs (12 vs 6) and is optimised for 4-cylinder builds.

Does the Neo 6 support direct injection?

Yes, with the LinkECU DI Driver-4. The Neo 6 provides control signals; the DI Driver-4 delivers the high-voltage drive current for GDI injectors. For 6-cylinder staged DI with dual HPFP, the Neo 6 is the correct G5 wire-in model. Available as bundle SKU 156-9000B.

Can the Neo 6 run an 8-cylinder engine?

Yes — sequential port injection and direct spark on up to 8 cylinders, using the 12 injection drives and 8 ignition drivers. For 8-cylinder staged direct injection, the G5 Voodoo Pro is the correct choice.

Can I load my G4X map into the G5 Voodoo Neo 6?

Yes. The G5 platform uses the same PCLink software as G4X. G4X calibration and log files open directly in PCLink without conversion. Pin arrangements are similar to G4X, minimising repinning when upgrading an existing harness.

What does the Neo 6 have that the G5 Voodoo Pro does not?

The Neo 6 (and Neo 4) have 1 GB data logging, compared to 512 MB on the G5 Voodoo Pro. The Neo 6 also uses only two 34-pin connector kits (A+B) vs the Pro’s three (A+B+E) — a smaller physical footprint in the harness. The Pro has significantly more analogue inputs (14 vs 3) and a second onboard wideband, which matters for high-sensor-count builds.
