HellermannTyton moulded heat shrink boots are a direct, dimensionally-verified alternative to Raychem (TE Connectivity) equivalents, typically at a lower unit cost. XTRA Motorsport stocks the straight, 90° right-angle and T-shape range — including the 1030-4-G, 1037-4-G, 1181-4-G, 1182-4-G and 1209-1-G — covering Souriau 8STA and Deutsch AS/ASL/ASU shells 03–24.
Each is moulded from fluid-resistant modified elastomer rated −75 °C to +150 °C and supplied non-adhesive-lined; pair with HellermannTyton V9500 epoxy or ResinTech RT125 for a fully sealed joint. As an official Bosch Motorsport dealer with 25+ years of harness experience, we list every boot’s Big End (H) and Small End (J) diameters as supplied and after recovery, plus the Raychem part number it replaces.
Why the grip differs slightly from Raychem
HellermannTyton lip walls are consistently around 0.2 mm thicker than the equivalent Raychem boot, so the effective inner diameter at the lip is slightly smaller — giving a tighter grip on the connector backshell groove. Combined with V9500 epoxy the seal is reliable even where the recovered H is marginally over the backshell diameter.
Is a HellermannTyton boot a true equivalent to the Raychem part?
Yes. The material specification, temperature range (−75 to +150 °C) and shrink ratio match the Raychem equivalent. Each product page states the Raychem part number it replaces, cross-referenced against measured dimensions rather than catalogue claims.
Which HellermannTyton boot fits a Deutsch ASL or shell 06 connector?
The 1030-4-G straight (equivalent to Raychem 204W221-25-0) and the 1181-4-G 90° (equivalent to 224W221-25-0) fit Deutsch ASL and Souriau 8STA shell 06. For ASU shell 03 use the 1037-4-G straight / 1182-4-G 90°.
