The VR4Link (VR4X) is Link Engine Management’s G4X plug-in ECU for the Mitsubishi Galant VR-4 (E38A and E39A) and 1G DSM with the 4G63T engine. Onboard MAP sensor (4-bar or 7-bar depending on board revision) is included. The PCB fits inside the factory ECU enclosure with no loom modifications.
Note: Knock control is not available on the VR4X. This ECU also assumes high-impedance injectors. The factory 4G63T uses a ballast resistor system for the low-impedance factory injectors — do not remove the factory ballast resistors unless replacing injectors with high-impedance units.

Is knock control available on the VR4Link?
No. Knock control hardware is not present on the VR4X. This is a known limitation of this plug-in ECU.
Do I need to change the injectors?
The factory 4G63T uses low-impedance injectors with ballast resistors. The VR4Link assumes high-impedance injectors — do not remove the factory ballast resistors unless fitting aftermarket high-impedance injectors.
Is a base map included?
Yes. A startup base map for the 4G63T is pre-loaded. Professional dyno tuning is required before use.
