The Emtron KV12 is a wire-in motorsport ECU for up to 12-cylinder engines with fully sequential injection and ignition. In addition to the full KV series I/O — 16 analog inputs, 14 digital inputs, 16 auxiliary outputs — the KV12 supports direct injection control when combined with the Bosch HPI5 high-pressure injector driver, making it suited to GDI and DI engine platforms in motorsport and high-performance builds.

FAQ
What engines is the Emtron KV12 suited to?
The KV12 supports up to 12 cylinders — inline-4, inline-6, V6, V8, V10, and V12 configurations with fully sequential injection and ignition. Smaller engines leave unused channels inactive.
Can the KV12 control direct injection?
Yes. Combined with the Bosch HPI5 high-pressure injector driver, the KV12 controls direct injection (GDI/DI) systems — suited to turbocharged DI platforms in time attack, endurance, and OEM motorsport builds.
What is the difference between the KV12 and KV8?
The KV8 supports up to 8 cylinders with 8 injection and 8 ignition channels. The KV12 adds 4 channels of injection and ignition and introduces direct injection capability via the Bosch HPI5. Analog inputs, digital inputs, auxiliary outputs, CAN, and Ethernet are identical across both models.
What software and interface is needed to tune the KV12?
Emtune software via Ethernet, using the Emtron tuning cable. Emtune runs on Windows and covers all KV12 channels, including direct injection maps when the HPI5 is fitted.
What is the lead time and delivery?
The KV12 is a 7-day special order item. XTRA Motorsport dispatches from EU stock via DHL/UPS across Europe.
