Bosch Motorsport ABS M5 Clubsport is a motorsport-specific anti-lock braking system for race car use. It shares the same hydraulic unit and ECU hardware as the full ABS M5 range — the Clubsport variant is supplied with a generic standard wiring harness, compatible with front-wheel, rear-wheel, and four-wheel drive vehicles across all motorsport disciplines.
The 12-position function switch allows the driver to select ABS intervention level from the cockpit. Each position corresponds to a preset ABS map matched to different track conditions: high-grip dry, intermediate, and low-grip wet or gravel surfaces.

12-Position Function Switch
The driver-accessible switch selects the ABS map for current conditions:
- Positions for high grip (dry tarmac) — low slip threshold, maximum braking force retention
- Positions for intermediate grip — moderate ABS intervention
- Positions for low grip (wet, gravel) — higher wheel slip tolerance
- All 12 positions use preset Bosch Motorsport ABS maps — no custom programming required
RaceABS Software and Configuration
Vehicle parameters are set using RaceABS software, available free of charge from Bosch Motorsport. The Bosch Motorsport MSA-BOX II USB interface is required for connection between laptop and ABS unit (sold separately).
Configurable parameters:
- Vehicle weight and track width
- Wheel weights and wheel circumference
- Wheelbase
- Wheel speed sensor increment count
After every order, XTRA Motorsport support engineers contact the customer to confirm wheel speed sensor signal type (DF11I, DF11S, or DF11V), CAN bus speed (1 Mbit/s or 500 kbit/s), and vehicle-specific installation requirements.
