The RX7Link S7/8 (RX7S7X) is Link Engine Management’s G4X plug-in ECU for the Mazda FD3S RX7 Series 7 and Series 8 with the 13BT twin-rotor engine. The PCB fits inside the factory ECU enclosure with no loom modification. Full electronic boost control replaces the factory boost management system.
Critical limitation — sequential turbo: The RX7Link S7/8 does not support factory sequential turbo control. The sequential turbo system must be bypassed — the car must be run as parallel twin-turbo or single-turbo. This is the standard approach for performance-tuned FD3S builds and does not limit tuning capability.
No onboard MAP sensor is fitted. The factory FD3S MAP sensor (rated to approximately 220 kPa) is used, or an upgraded external sensor can be wired in via the expansion connector. An upgraded MAP sensor is required for high-boost builds.
The Series 7/8 uses the late FD3S white connector ECU header. Verify your connector matches the product photo before ordering — it differs from the Series 6 yellow connector.
Vehicle Fitment

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the RX7Link S7/8 support sequential turbo operation?
No. Sequential turbo control is not supported on either the S6 or S7/8 RX7Link. The factory sequential system must be bypassed — run as parallel twin-turbo or single-turbo. This is the standard approach on all tuned FD3S builds.
What is the difference between the S6 and S7/8 connectors?
Series 6 cars (approximately 1992–1995) have the early yellow multi-lock ECU connector (RX7S6X, SKU 218-4000). Series 7 and 8 cars (approximately 1996–2002) have the later white connector (RX7S7X, SKU 219-4000). Check your car’s connector against the product photo before ordering.
Is a base map included?
Yes. A startup base map for the 13BT rotary is pre-loaded. Professional dyno tuning is required before use.
