The Bosch Motorsport MS 6.2 EVO manages gasoline engines up to 12 cylinders with port fuel injection and is the highest-specification PFI unit in the MS 6 EVO range. Compared to the MS 6.1 EVO, it adds 17 additional analog inputs (38 total) and LTE Ethernet telemetry support — the two features that most often differentiate endurance racing installations from sprint or single-make applications. The wider analog input count supports more complete sensor coverage: additional pressure sensors, exhaust temperature channels, and chassis inputs can all be wired directly without a separate signal-conditioning module.

LTE telemetry allows live channel streaming to the pit wall for real-time monitoring, strategy, and driver coaching. Dual electronic throttle control, variable valve timing, active turbo management, traction control, and integrated gearshift management are all supported in the base software. The 4 GB standard logging memory can be expanded with the FULL_LOG_1 upgrade to 1,500 channels at 1,000 Hz, and a second 4 GB partition activatable via the FULL_LOG_2 key provides a dedicated long-term recording partition.

The MS 6.2 EVO provides 38 analog inputs vs 21 on the MS 6.1, covering complex sensor installations without a secondary acquisition module. It also adds LTE telemetry support for live pit wall data streaming — a common requirement in endurance GT and touring car racing. If neither high channel count nor telemetry is required, the MS 6.1 EVO is a more cost-effective choice.

Does the MS 6.2 EVO support direct injection (GDI)?

No. The MS 6.2 EVO is a port fuel injection ECU only. For GDI or combined LP/HP injection, use the MS 6.3 EVO or MS 6.4 EVO.

What hardware is needed for LTE telemetry?

Is the MS 6.2 EVO compatible with MS 6.4 EVO software?

Yes. The MS 6.2, 6.3, and 6.4 all run the standard MS 6 EVO software platform in RaceCon. The only MS 6 EVO variant with a separate, incompatible software version is the MS 6.4P EVO.
