The Ecumaster ADU-7 Rev2 is the large-format variant of the ADU platform: a 7-inch 800×480 TFT display at 1000 cd/m² brightness in an IP65-sealed CNC aluminium enclosure. The Rev2 designation marks the updated production revision with IP65 sealing (upgraded from IP60) and the 35-pin AMP AMPSEAL connector — sharing the same wiring loom as the ADU-5.
At 1000 cd/m², the ADU-7 Rev2 is readable in direct sunlight in open-cockpit cars and single-seaters. The 7-inch active display area (154×86mm) provides more channel space for complex pages — critical for endurance racing where drivers need water temp, oil temp, oil pressure, tyre data, fuel estimate, lap delta, and shift lights all simultaneously visible.
Functionally identical to the ADU-5: same CAN input support, same 500Hz USB logging, same 15 RGB shift LEDs, same accelerometer and gyroscope, and the same ECU compatibility library.

What You Can Do With It
- Run a multi-channel endurance dashboard — 7-inch screen provides space for coolant temp, oil temp/pressure, fuel estimate, lap delta, gear, speed, and 15 shift LEDs simultaneously
- Read the display in direct sunlight — 1000 cd/m² enables open-cockpit and single-seater installations where a 600 cd/m² display would wash out under bright conditions
- Log all channels to USB at 500Hz — USB flash drive records everything; download in ADU Analyzer for post-session review
- Display tyre heat map data — ECUmaster CAN Thermal Cameras feed tyre temperature data per-zone over CAN; rendered graphically on any ADU page
- Use the same wiring loom as the ADU-5 — identical 35-pin AMPSEAL connector means a swap between ADU-5 and ADU-7 Rev2 requires no rewiring
ADU Family Comparison
| Model | Screen | Brightness | IP | Connector | Weight |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| ADU-5 | 5-inch | 600 cd/m² | IP65 | 35-pin AMPSEAL | 408g |
| ADU-7 Rev.2 | 7-inch | 1000 cd/m² | IP65 | 35-pin AMPSEAL | 732g |
| ADU-7 Autosport | 7-inch | 1000 cd/m² | IP60 | 37-pin Autosport | — |
The ADU-7 Rev2 and ADU-5 share the same connector, wiring loom, and ECU compatibility. Choose the ADU-7 Autosport if your harness uses round motorsport Autosport connectors throughout.

FAQ
What is the difference between the ADU-7 Rev2 and ADU-5?
The ADU-7 Rev2 has a larger 7-inch screen (active area 154×86mm vs 108×65mm), higher brightness at 1000 cd/m² (vs 600 cd/m²), and weighs 732g versus 408g. Functionally identical: same inputs, outputs, logging speed, LED count, and CAN ports. Choose the ADU-5 for tight cockpits or weight-critical builds; choose the ADU-7 Rev2 for more display real estate and sunlight readability.
What is the difference between the ADU-7 Rev2 and ADU-7 Autosport?
The ADU-7 Autosport uses a 37-pin round Autosport connector (MIL-grade, for harnesses built with Deutsch Autosport or MIL-38999 connectors throughout) versus the 35-pin AMP AMPSEAL on the Rev2. The Rev2 is IP65; the Autosport is IP60. If your harness uses standard automotive-grade connectors, the ADU-7 Rev2 is the correct choice.
What ECUs is the ADU-7 Rev2 compatible with?
Pre-built CAN profiles for 20+ ECU platforms including ECUmaster EMU Black, EMU Pro, Emtron, MoTeC M400/M600, Haltech, AEM, Link ECU G4X, and Megasquirt. RS232 support for AiM, Hondata K-Pro, Autronic SM4, and others. OBD2 via CAN2. Custom profiles available from ECUmaster on request.
Does the ADU-7 have a video input?
No. Tyre and brake temperature data from ECUmaster CAN Thermal Cameras arrives via CAN bus and is rendered graphically — not as a raw video feed. Standard in-car video systems require a separate camera and display/mixing solution.
