The Bosch Motorsport PST-1 combined pressure and temperature sensor covers the 0.1–1.15 bar absolute pressure range — spanning from sub-atmospheric conditions (airbox under restriction) through to slightly above standard atmosphere on naturally aspirated engines at wide-open throttle. It measures both absolute pressure and temperature through a single housing, reducing sensor count and harness connections compared to separate P and T sensors.
A piezo-resistive sensing element converts pressure to a ratiometric voltage (0.5 V at 0.1 bar, 4.5 V at 1.15 bar on a 5 V supply). An integrated circuit performs signal amplification and temperature compensation, so no external conditioning is required. The simultaneous temperature output allows the ECU or logger to acquire both intake air temperature and manifold pressure from a single installation point.
The PST-1 is the lowest-range unit in the Bosch Motorsport PST series. For turbocharged applications, the PST-3 (0.2–3 bar) and PST-4 (0.4–4 bar) cover boost and oil pressure ranges. For GDI high-pressure fuel rail, see the PST-F-2 (0–280 bar).
