The Bosch Motorsport PST-3 combined pressure and temperature sensor covers the 0.2–3 bar absolute pressure range — the mid-range unit in the PST family. It spans from sub-atmospheric conditions up to 3 bar absolute (approximately 2 bar gauge boost), covering turbocharged and supercharged intake manifold applications, low-range oil pressure circuits, and intercooler pressure measurement.
Like all PST-series sensors, a piezo-resistive element with integrated amplification and temperature compensation outputs both pressure and temperature as ratiometric 5 V analog signals. The combined construction reduces harness connections and sensor mounting points compared to using separate pressure and temperature sensors in the same circuit.
For boost pressures above 2 bar gauge (3 bar absolute), select the PST-4 (0.4–4 bar). For naturally aspirated MAP applications, the PST-1 (0.1–1.15 bar) is appropriate.
